About Joe

Joe Conforti is a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group and heads the Employment, Pensions and Executive Compensation Group at Goodmans. His practice covers the full range of human resources issues for public and private sector employers and executives across many industries, with a focus on the employment and labour aspects of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, and insolvencies. Joe also provides ongoing employment and HR advice, including drafting executive employment and consulting agreements, structuring bonus and compensation plans, and advising on severance, workplace policies, and compliance with occupational health and safety, human rights, and employment standards legislation. He appears regularly before courts, administrative tribunals, and private arbitrations. Joe also has experience in defamation law, advising media outlets before publication or broadcast and handling libel, copyright, and trademark litigation.
