About Jimmy
Jimmy Burg is a litigator handling complex commercial, regulatory and Indigenous-related disputes for clients in natural resources, energy, infrastructure and real estate. He appears before all levels of court in British Columbia and in arbitration and regulatory hearings, with a practice spanning commercial litigation, Indigenous and environmental matters, energy and resource regulation, and public law. Before practising law he worked as a geologist and environmental scientist in mining, oil and gas, and environmental sectors across Western Canada, and he serves as Boughton Law's Meritas Emerging Leader. He was called to the Alberta Bar and BC Bar in 2020 and the Yukon Bar in 2024, and holds a law degree from Queen's University and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Geology from Dalhousie University.
