About Catherine
Catherine Kim specializes in estate and trust planning and estate administration, focusing on personal estate and business succession planning, wealth preservation, probate minimization and incapacity planning. She advises on advanced estate and probate planning tools including multiple wills and alter ego/joint partner trusts, family trusts, and estate freezes for business owners, and advises executors on responsibilities, asset distribution and tax considerations. She is an adjunct professor at UBC's Allard School of Law teaching wills and estates law, and has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada since 2024 for Trusts and Estates. She joined Boughton Law as a summer student in 2011 and was called to the BC Bar in 2013. She practises through a personal law corporation.
