About Claire

Claire Gibson is an associate in Boughton Law's Corporate Practice Group, advising on mergers and acquisitions and equity transactions with a particular focus on Indigenous equity ownership, including matters involving federal and provincial Indigenous Loan Guarantee Programs. Before joining Boughton Law she practised at a national law firm, gaining experience in corporate governance, M&A and regulatory frameworks affecting Indigenous organizations. She was part of the team representing the partnership of 38 First Nations in their $736 million acquisition of equity in Enbridge's Westcoast pipeline system, which won the Capital Markets Deal of the Year at the 2026 Canadian Law Awards.
