About Emma

Emma Ronsley is an associate at Arvay Finlay LLP, called to the bar in British Columbia and Yukon. She clerked for six BC Supreme Court justices before joining the firm in 2019, and her practice covers administrative law, constitutional law, and general civil litigation. She worked as a legal advocate with the Bella Coola Legal Advocacy Program, served as a student clinician at the UBC Indigenous Community Legal Clinic where she received an award for distinguished advocacy, and worked as a legal and policy researcher for the Mass Casualty Commission investigating the April 2020 Nova Scotia mass casualty event. She holds a JD from the University of British Columbia, where she won the Law Foundation of BC Public Interest Award and academic awards in constitutional law, civil procedure, and legal ethics, and a BA in International Development from McGill University.
