About Peter
Peter Thornton advises clients on estate administration, estate planning, and corporate and commercial law, guiding administrators and executors through the estate process and drafting wills, powers of attorney, representation agreements and trusts. In his corporate and commercial practice, he assists businesses with incorporations, restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions. Thornton grew up in Chilliwack and completed both his undergraduate and law studies at the University of British Columbia, earning a BA in 2007 and a JD in 2011. He articled with a small Chilliwack firm and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2012, continuing to practise with that firm until it merged with Waterstone Law Group LLP at the start of 2026. He is a past president of the Chilliwack and District Bar Association.
