Criminal DefenceJessica Orkin runs a broad litigation practice covering criminal, civil, and administrative law, with particular depth in constitutional matters, human rights law, Aboriginal rights, and access to information issues. She has argued cases at every level of court, from the Court of Appeal for Ontario up to the Supreme Court of Canada, and she frequently speaks at legal conferences and seminars. She has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for Aboriginal Law/Indigenous Practice and for Administrative and Public Law. Jessica earned her law degree from the University of Toronto, an M.Phil. in Development Studies from Oxford, and a combined bachelor's degree in arts and sciences from McMaster University. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2006 after clerking at the Federal Court of Appeal.
