About Jennifer

Jennifer Nguyen joined Platform Litigation as an articling student and stayed on as an associate after being called to the bar. She received her J.D. from the Peter A. Allard School of Law and an undergraduate degree in political science, both from the University of British Columbia. During law school she was a research assistant to Professor Alexandra Flynn on First Nations housing and homelessness issues, and to the Honourable Lynn Smith on a book chapter concerning section 15 of the Charter. An internship at the Provincial Court of British Columbia in Port Coquitlam and Surrey drew her toward criminal defence work. Nguyen has assisted clients from arrest through bail and sentencing hearings, and has experience with provincial court trial matters, assisting senior lawyers while preparing her own trials.
