About Jorge

Jorge Pineda is an employment lawyer and litigator at Taylor Janis's Calgary office with more than a decade of litigation experience across Ontario and Alberta in employment and contractual disputes and administrative proceedings. Before joining Taylor Janis, he practiced at firms in Toronto and Hamilton and served as in-house counsel, and was an elected Bencher of the Law Society of Ontario and an Adjudicator of the Law Society Tribunal, presiding over discipline and licensing hearings. Jorge represents clients before Alberta courts and tribunals including the Alberta Human Rights Commission, the Employment Standards Branch, and the Labour Relations Board, and has litigated Charter, municipal, and human rights cases in Ontario.
