About Mosope
Mosope Fagbongbe is an Associate Counsel at Bekkering York who joined the firm at its inception. She qualified as a lawyer in Nigeria in 1997, in Alberta in 2016, and in British Columbia in 2017. Her practice focuses on insurance defence, employment, immigration, and family law, and her earlier practice areas included civil law, family law, and various administrative tribunals. As an internationally trained lawyer, she completed split articles at a national law firm and the law department of an oil and gas company in Calgary, and she has worked as a litigator, research fellow, and lecturer, including a stint as a sessional lecturer at the University of British Columbia. She was appointed to several Patient Care Quality Review Boards in October 2023 and is a member of the UBC Alumni Advisory Council. She practises out of Maple Ridge, BC.
