About Janet

Janet Clark, K.C., CPHR, is a partner at Stewart McKelvey's Charlottetown office, working with employers, insurers, municipalities, and professionals on a range of matters. Her work has included complex multi-party tort litigation involving personal injury, insurance, and professional negligence claims, strategic labour and employment advice for large, partly unionized workplaces, and representation of insurers on liability coverage disputes. Janet earned her LLB from Dalhousie University in 1998 and a BA from Acadia University in 1995, and later became a Certified Canadian Human Resources Professional. She was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 1999 and the Prince Edward Island bar in 2002, and was named King's Counsel in 2024. She is a founding member of the Canadian Defence Lawyers Foundation board and has chaired the Canadian Bar Association's Health Law and Civil Litigation sections in Prince Edward Island.
