Jane Soucy

About Jane

Jane Soucy is a litigation lawyer in McInnes Cooper's Halifax office who works primarily with clients in the insurance sector, handling personal injury, long-term disability and property loss claims. Before joining the Halifax office, she was a summer law student and articled clerk with the firm's St. John's office, where she gained experience in complex litigation matters. She was a Student Advocate with the Dalhousie Student Advocacy Service, assisting students with university policy and academic integrity hearings, and was active with the Weldon Literary Moot Society. Jane holds a J.D. from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Music (Hons) from Memorial University. She is a member of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society and the Canadian Bar Association, and was called to the bar in both Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador in 2023.
