About Matthew

Matt works with businesses and individuals across Nova Scotia on commercial and civil litigation and criminal defence, appearing at all levels of court from Small Claims to the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal. He has handled contract and shareholder disputes, construction litigation, real estate transaction disputes, debt collection, commercial leasing disputes, intellectual property disputes, and Criminal Code offences, along with matters involving civil fraud and securities. Before becoming a lawyer, Matt earned his MBA from Saint Mary's University and spent five years managing commercial medical technology research and development projects for multinational healthcare and imaging corporations. He sits on the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society's Code of Professional Conduct Committee and was a civil procedure workshop instructor at the Schulich School of Law. He earned his LL.B. from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2019 and was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2020.
