About Jamie

Jamie Cockburn maintains a broad litigation and advisory practice at SV Law, covering real property disputes such as encroachment and easement matters, municipal and administrative law, condominium governance litigation, and Aboriginal and Indigenous law. He has appeared as co-counsel at the Federal Court of Appeal and represented condominium corporations in notable governance decisions before the Condominium Authority Tribunal. Jamie completed his Bachelor of Environmental Studies at the University of Waterloo in 2016 and his J.D., cum laude, at the University of Ottawa in 2020. He articled at SV Law, was called to the bar in 2021, then worked at a small firm focused on Aboriginal law before returning to SV Law in 2023. He enjoys backcountry canoe camping, downhill skiing, and cheering for the Toronto Blue Jays.
