About James

James Oborne is Of Counsel and has spent over two decades working across numerous industry sectors on commercial, securities and transactional matters. He has completed more than 75 deals worth several billion dollars combined, mostly acting as a transaction advisor and investment banker, with additional background in private equity and law. He helps private and public companies as well as VC and PE funds pursue capital raising and acquisition-driven growth, including advice on acquisitions, divestitures, licenses and financing structures. James holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario, an LLB from the University of Manitoba, and a BA from the University of Winnipeg.
