About James
James (Jamie) Dunn is a partner at Beard Winter LLP and a member of the firm's Insurance Litigation group, with a long career in insurance defence litigation. He specializes in jury trial work before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, along with tort claims, subrogation, rail-related matters, product liability, coverage disputes, and commercial general liability cases. Jamie has appeared before the Ontario Court of Appeal and various administrative tribunals, including the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal. He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Advocates' Society, and Canadian Defence Lawyers, and regularly speaks at insurance industry conferences. Jamie earned his law degree from the University of Windsor in 1976 and a BA in philosophy from the University of Western Ontario, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1978.
