About Jack

Jack Silverson practises tax law with an emphasis on the income tax dimensions of corporate finance, including structuring debt, equity and trust financings, along with mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations. He has significant experience counselling tax-exempt entities, real estate investment trusts and income funds. In 1991 and 1992 he was seconded as Special Advisor to the Director of the Current Amendments and Regulations Division of Revenue Canada, and he formerly sat on the CBA-CICA Joint Committee on Taxation. Jack holds a cross-appointment to Osler's Pensions and Benefits Department and leads the Osler Pension Investment Group.
