About Jessica
Jessica Proskos is an associate at Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP practicing mainly criminal law at trial and on appeal, along with regulatory and professional discipline, education law, and institutional investigations. She has a particular interest in youth matters, representing young people charged under the Youth Criminal Justice Act and helping students with school investigations and disciplinary proceedings. She serves on the Board of Directors of Peacebuilders Canada and volunteers with Justice for Children and Youth and Pro Bono Ontario's Education Law Project. Before joining the firm she worked as an associate at a high-volume criminal defence practice in Toronto and articled as a judicial law clerk at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. She earned her J.D. from the University of Windsor, graduating as valedictorian, with a Social Justice Fellowship and an internship at the International Criminal Court's Appeals Chamber, and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa magna cum laude in criminology with a minor in law. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2020.
