About Hon.
Doug Schweitzer is a founding partner practising insolvency and restructuring, having represented clients in some of the largest restructurings in Western Canada over more than a decade at a large international firm before joining Blue Rock Law. He previously served as an elected member of the Alberta legislature representing Calgary-Elbow, holding the roles of Minister of Justice and Solicitor General and Minister of Jobs, Economy and Innovation, where he led development of the province's economic recovery plan. He also worked as a senior advisor to a large international consulting firm. Doug was called to the Alberta bar in 2007 and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Manitoba.
