About Mark

Mark Jacka is counsel who spent more than a decade in Alberta politics and government before entering private practice, including work as a regional organizer and chief of staff to a provincial cabinet minister, and directing nomination processes for a political party. He graduated from law school with distinction in 2024, earning prizes in securities law and taxation. Mark was called to the Alberta bar in 2025 and holds a JD and a BA (Honours) from the University of Alberta. Raised in Edmonton, he enjoys skating, hockey, skiing and hiking.
