He successfully represented more than 40,000 students in a class action against the Quebec Attorney General over student loan overcharges, a case that reached the Supreme Court of Canada and led to a recovery of approximately $30 million. He also assists financial institutions with securitized financings and advises corporate clients on business set-up, reorganization and sale. St-Germain earned his LL.B. from the Université de Montréal in 1986 and was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 1987.
