About Guy

Guy St-Germain is a partner at Sternthal Montigny Greenberg St-Germain LLP with more than 30 years representing small and medium-sized businesses and major financial institutions as a commercial and business lawyer. He has argued before every level of court in Quebec and the Supreme Court of Canada, in cases involving civil and professional liability, security realizations, commercial disputes, injunctions and class actions. He successfully represented more than 40,000 students in a class action against the Quebec Attorney General over student loan overcharges, a case that reached the Supreme Court of Canada and led to a recovery of approximately $30 million. He also assists financial institutions with securitized financings and advises corporate clients on business set-up, reorganization and sale. St-Germain earned his LL.B. from the Université de Montréal in 1986 and was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 1987.
