Guy Berman is a partner at Torys who advises some of Canada's leading private equity firms, pension funds and other institutional investors on their investment activities. His practice centers on corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity investments. Guy co-heads Torys' Direct Investment practice. He helps clients carry out a wide range of transactional and investment work, including buyouts led by management or through leverage, both majority and minority equity stakes, divestitures, joint ventures and co-investments, as well as shareholder arrangements and the structuring of funds and transactions.
