About Gigi
Gigi Lo joined Kornfeld LLP in 2020 after a decade practising as a barrister in Hong Kong, where her experience encompassed white-collar criminal matters, particularly fraud, money laundering, corruption, and securities investigations, along with civil litigation focused on commercial disputes. In Vancouver she developed a litigation-focused practice in general civil litigation with an emphasis on commercial disputes involving contracts, shareholder disputes, creditor-debtor remedies, wills and estates litigation, and family law. She has supported foreign-trained lawyers seeking to transfer credentials to Canada since 2018 and volunteers as a mentor for those completing the NCA process. She holds a PCLL from the University of Hong Kong (2008), a GDL/CPE from Manchester Metropolitan University's Manchester Law School (2006), and a BCom (Hons.) from the University of British Columbia (2004), and was called to the bar in Hong Kong in 2009 and British Columbia in 2020.
