George L. Cooper, KC is a Partner in Cox & Palmer's Moncton office with more than 25 years of experience. He earned a B.A. (Hons.) from Mount Allison University in 1989, an LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick, and an LL.M. from the University of Cambridge, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1995 and the New Brunswick Bar in 1998. His commercial litigation and transactional practice covers commercial financing, securities, secured transactions, bankruptcy and insolvency, natural resources and energy, and insurance disputes, and he has appeared before courts in several provinces along with the Ontario Securities Commission. He began his career at Stikeman Elliott's Toronto office before returning to Atlantic Canada, and currently serves as Chancellor of Mount Allison University.
