About Taya

Taya Nabuurs maintains a litigation-focused practice in family and criminal litigation, professional regulation and misconduct, and insurance litigation. Her work includes negotiating parenting, spousal support and property division matters for separating spouses, federal drug prosecutions, and advising child protection organizations. She has a growing fertility and adoption law practice, advising local and international clients on surrogacy agreements and donor agreements, applications to the PEI Supreme Court to confirm legal parentage, and adoption applications. Nabuurs earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa in 2023, a Master in Global Affairs from the University of Prince Edward Island and Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in 2020, and a Bachelor of Arts from UPEI in 2019.
