About Deborah

Deborah is a Partner in McInnes Cooper's Halifax office with extensive experience in the securitization of debt financings for private companies, acting for lenders and borrowers on commitment letters, loan agreements and security documentation. She serves as Nova Scotia legal agent for Canadian and international law firms and their clients on asset securitization and the use of Nova Scotia unlimited liability companies, and handles general corporate matters including incorporations, amalgamations, dissolutions and extra-provincial continuances in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. She also acts on financing of commercial real property for lenders and borrowers. Deborah is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society and the Law Society of New Brunswick, and was named Best Lawyers' Banking and Finance Law "Lawyer of the Year" in Halifax for 2026.
