About George

George Antonopoulos focuses on energy transactions, drawing on more than 20 years advising clients on private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and project development throughout Canada's energy industry. His clients include energy investors, project developers, midstream operators and upstream oil and gas producers, and he helps them structure and negotiate transactions across the energy sector, from conventional and unconventional oil and gas development to midstream and downstream facilities, LNG, carbon capture and renewable energy work. His engagements typically cover a project's entire lifecycle, from early development and permitting through construction, financing and exit. Antonopoulos joined Osler's Calgary office as a partner in 2025. He is recognized by Chambers Canada for his transactional energy and oil and gas work and was named Lawyer of the Year for oil and gas law by Best Lawyers in 2022.
