About Geneviève

Geneviève Therrien is a lawyer at Caza Saikaley LLP practising commercial and international arbitration, contracts, defamation, shareholder disputes, administrative law and judicial review, constitutional and human rights law, employment law, municipal law, linguistic rights, professional negligence, and appellate matters. She earned her J.D. and LL.L. from the University of Ottawa in 2019, both magna cum laude, after a B.A. from the same university in 2016, also magna cum laude, and articled at the firm before being called to the Ontario bar in 2020. She's argued before the Supreme Court of Canada as counsel for an intervenor in Ahluwalia v. Ahluwalia, previously served as judicial assistant to Justice Sylvie E. Roussel at the Federal Court of Canada, and has judged and coached moot court competitions. She's trained in both common law and civil law, sits on the board of the Great Canadian Theatre Company, and is bilingual in French and English.
