About Elizabeth

Elizabeth Jacob practices exclusively in family law, a focus that traces back to her teenage years working for a boutique family law firm in Brampton. She studied law at the University of Leeds in England, graduating with a First Class degree in the top 10 percent of her class, then articled at a family law firm before being called to the bar in January 2019. Her practice covers adoptions, decision-making responsibility, parenting time, child and spousal support, equalization, and other property issues, and she has drafted marriage contracts, domestic agreements, and separation agreements. She represents clients in mediation, arbitration, and other alternative dispute resolution processes as well as in interjurisdictional support matters and child protection cases, appearing before the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice. She is empaneled as a Legal Aid Ontario Panel Lawyer and speaks Hindi, Urdu, and Malayalam, and is currently learning Japanese.
