About Francco
Francco De Luca specializes in Aboriginal rights and title, oil and gas regulatory and environmental law, and the duty to consult and accommodate. He worked as legal counsel at the Alberta Energy Regulator for three years on Aboriginal, environmental, administrative, and oil and gas regulatory matters, and earlier articled and worked as a regulatory associate at a large national law firm in Calgary; he has also represented the Quw'utsun Nation in its successful title and fishing rights case. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of British Columbia, where he received the President's Entrance Scholarship, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary, where he won the Canadian Energy Law Foundation Prize and the Jason Lang Scholarship and served as President of the Environmental Law Society. Originally from Vancouver, he was called to the Alberta Bar in 2017, joined Woodward & Company in 2020, and is also licensed in British Columbia (2020), Yukon (2025), and Nunavut (2025). Outside work, he enjoys golf, fly fishing, and exploring west coast rivers and wilderness.
