About Fiona

Fiona McQueen is associate counsel whose practice has included general civil litigation, criminal law, employment law, and family law, with a focus over the last 13 years on personal injury defence and family law. She is a certified family and civil mediator and views early resolution as being as valuable as a courtroom win. McQueen earned a B.A. in Creative Writing (1981) and an LL.B. (1984), both from the University of British Columbia, and was called to the British Columbia bar in 1985. She has practised at several Victoria firms over her career, rejoining Carfra Lawton as associate counsel in 2024.
