About Faisal

Faisal Nasim is a partner in Cohen Highley's Corporate/Commercial and Business Law group, with more than 20 years of experience in deal structuring and legal risk management across sectors ranging from not-for-profits to larger companies. His practice covers business formation and incorporation, the purchase and sale of businesses, franchising, corporate tax planning, business successions and reorganizations, and shareholder dispute management, among other corporate matters. He often assists foreign enterprises setting up operations in Canada and has served as Canadian local counsel to international law firms. Faisal is qualified in multiple jurisdictions, as a Barrister, Solicitor and Notary Public in Ontario, a Barrister in the U.K., and an Advocate of the High Courts in Pakistan, and he is fluent in Urdu and Hindi. He was licensed by the Law Society of Ontario in 2020, holds an LL.M. from Cardiff University and an LL.B. from the University of London, and belongs to organizations including the Canadian Bar Association and the Canadian Muslim Lawyers Association.
