About Eva

Eva Lake is a partner at Chaitons LLP and heads its Mortgage Enforcement Department, acting for a wide range of national and international banks and financial institutions on mortgage remedies. She has worked to standardize mortgage enforcement practices, client documentation and reporting systems for lender clients. She joined Chaitons after a career as in-house counsel to a major Canadian manufacturer, and regularly speaks at legal and financial industry conferences and has written on lender rights and remedies. She earned a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto in 1975 and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1978, where she won the Thomas Cowper Robinette Award, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1980.
