About Esther

Esther Villeneuve concentrates her practice on litigation and civil law, both individual and collective. She works with victims of sexual assault and abuse, as well as on class actions, human rights matters, and estate litigation, and takes on a variety of civil files more broadly. She takes a human and attentive approach, placing importance on listening and clarity so the justice system is more understandable and accessible to the people she assists. During her studies she developed strong research and legal writing skills, collaborating on governance, municipal, health, and medical law projects as a research assistant for professors at the Université de Sherbrooke. She holds a law degree from the Université de Sherbrooke, joined Lapointe Légal as an articling student in 2023, and has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 2024.
