About David

David Stolow specializes in civil litigation, corporate and commercial litigation, class actions and arbitration, representing individuals and corporations in shareholder disputes, oppression remedies, contractual disputes, abuse-survivor claims, real estate and employment litigation. He has argued before all levels of court in Québec and the Supreme Court of Canada, including Bou Malhab v. Diffusion Métromédia CMR (a group defamation class action) and, pro bono, Bruker v. Marcovitz. His recent class action work includes co-leading the settlement of the Desjardins data breach class action affecting 9.7 million members, an abuse class action against the Canadian and Québec Major Junior Hockey Leagues, and a class action against online brokerages over currency conversion fees. Stolow is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, sits on the Québec Bar's Disciplinary Committee, and is a past president of the Lord Reading Law Society.
