Eric Kirshner is a partner at Goldwater Droit whose practice covers family and matrimonial litigation, estate disputes and civil law matters. Called to the Quebec Bar in 1993, he has represented clients before the Superior Court and the Quebec Court of Appeal for more than three decades, including compensatory allowance claims exceeding $1 million after long marriages and unequal divisions of family patrimony. He has litigated cases involving notional income and net worth for high-earning spouses, applications under section 21.1 of the Divorce Act to remove barriers to religious remarriage, and motions to retract separation judgments for fraud. His practice extends beyond family law to latent-defect claims, notary professional-liability actions and federal construction-contract disputes. Kirshner holds an LL.B. from Laval University (1992), a BA from Concordia University (1989), and a certificate in collaborative law from the Quebec Collaborative Law Group. He sits on the Liaison Committee with the Superior Court in Family Matters and works in French and English.
