About Eric

Eric Gareau is a partner at REID Legal with over 25 years of experience in business law and commercial real estate, gained working for major real estate investors and institutional landlords. He has extensive knowledge of commercial leases, primarily in the retail sector but also office, industrial and residential, giving him a practical understanding of the issues faced by different stakeholders, and is known for anticipating problems and minimizing conflicts. Before joining REID Legal he practised at Ivanhoé Cambridge, Triovest and Oxford Properties Group, and most recently led the legal and real estate team at the Renaissance charity organization. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Sherbrooke (1993) and an LLB from the University of Montreal (1997), and was called to the Quebec bar in 1998.
