About Alain

Alain Chevrier is an experienced litigator who has handled significant matters for the firm for more than twenty years in environmental law, municipal law, tendering disputes, and general civil law. Chevrier has led litigation for large companies and public sector organizations, including complex litigation and class actions under the Environment Quality Act, and matters seeking orders against the Minister of the Environment or municipalities to compel the issuance of compliance certificates or permits. Chevrier has also handled disputes over the replacement costs of aging public equipment operated by private companies, injunctions relating to non-competition clauses, and litigation for companies involved in tendering and public contract awards. Chevrier has spoken at Canadian Bar Association events and at the Association québécoise pour le développement de l'information juridique, including a talk on the electronic monitoring of employees. Chevrier was called to the Barreau du Québec in 1987.
