About Emily

Emily Yee grew up in Richmond, BC, and earned a BA with distinction from the University of British Columbia, majoring in both psychology and philosophy, before completing her JD at the University of Victoria. As a law student she gave pro bono legal assistance through the Law Centre clinic and took part in a Pro Bono Students Canada project examining how to decolonize restorative justice practices in BC. She also contributed as a research assistant to work on Indigenous fiscal relations and taxation. Her current practice is centred on tax law, and she is building experience in corporate law along with wills and estate planning.
