About Fiona

Fiona Hunter focuses on estate planning with an emphasis on trusts, and helps clients through mediation and litigation when disputes arise. She holds a Master of Laws in trusts and has written extensively on the subject, including 'Drafting Trusts and Wills Trusts in Canada' (LexisNexis Canada, 5th ed.). She is qualified as an expert in trust law by the Supreme Court of BC and has been an adjunct professor at the University of Victoria law school. Since 2008 she has been recognized in 'The Best Lawyers in Canada' for Trusts and Estates, was named Lawyer of the Year several times, and received the CLEBC Leaders in Learning Award in 2024.
