About Emily
Emily Dishart maintains a broad litigation practice focused on construction disputes, working with clients through examinations for discovery, court representation, and mediations and arbitrations. She has appeared in the BC Supreme Court, Provincial Court, and Court of Appeal. Prior to joining JML, Emily practised at a national law firm in commercial litigation, product liability, insolvency, administrative law, and construction law. Her undergraduate studies focused on Canadian Indigenous history and First Nations studies, which she draws on when working with Indigenous clients or advising on Indigenous-owned projects. She sits on the executive of the CBABC Construction Law Section and the Young Advocates' Standing Committee.
