About Emily
Emily Amirkhani joined JSS Barristers in 2022 after articling and working as an associate at a large national firm in corporate commercial litigation. She practices in most areas of civil litigation, including administrative, public and regulatory law, corporate and commercial litigation, defamation, employment law, constitutional matters, professional negligence, and construction law, and has appeared at the Court of Justice and the Court of King's Bench. Emily earned her JD from the University of Victoria, where she received the G. Allan Higenbottam Prize, and her BA in Sociology and Ethics from the University of Toronto. She volunteers with Skipping Stone Foundation's Trans ID Clinic, assisting clients with name and gender marker changes on government documents.
