About Rachel

Rachel Schechter practises in all areas of workplace law at Roper Greyell, with a strong emphasis on privacy, data governance, cybersecurity, access to information, and artificial intelligence-related disputes. She advises organizations on compliance, policies, privacy impact assessments, access requests, and incident response, and acts as breach counsel in cybersecurity incidents including ransomware attacks. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (Canada) and Certified in Cybersecurity (ISC2), and serves as Vice Chair of the CBABC Women Lawyers Forum. She holds a BA (Hons.) from the University of Toronto and a JD from UBC, and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2015.
