About Drew
Drew Higginbotham is an insurance defence lawyer whose work centres on occupiers' liability, property damage, accident benefits claims, and tort litigation. He is known for taking a strategic approach to complicated claims so clients get practical, results-focused representation. Before he joined Jones Kopp Litigation Partners LLP in 2024, he practised at another well-regarded Toronto firm, where he built extensive experience with uninsured motorist claims, priority disputes, accident benefits, and tort matters. He has represented clients before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, and the Licence Appeal Tribunal. He earned a BA in political science from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2012 and an LLB from Kent Law School at the University of Kent in 2015, and was called to the Ontario bar in September 2018.
