About Alysha
Alysha Bayes is an insurance defence litigator with more than a decade of experience handling complex tort and accident benefits claims. She earned her B.A. from the University of Waterloo (2007) and her LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick (2011), and was called to the Ontario bar in 2012. She practiced in Hamilton for six years, concentrating on insurance defence work involving CGL, auto and property claims, along with loss transfer, priority disputes and coverage issues. Alysha later worked in-house at a top-three Canadian insurer, gaining experience with high-exposure and catastrophic claims that shaped her perspective on risk assessment and litigation strategy. She has appeared before various courts, administrative tribunals and private arbitrations. Alysha joined Jones Kopp Litigation Partners LLP in September 2021.
