About John
John J. Jones is the founding partner of Jones Kopp Litigation Partners LLP, which he established in 2009. He brings nearly thirty-five years of experience defending insurers and large self-insured corporations, with a practice spanning liability claims, coverage disputes and fraud litigation. He has conducted judge and jury trials at every level of court in Ontario and handled high-profile matters both nationally and internationally. Canadian and American insurers, as well as Lloyd's syndicates, seek his coverage opinions on CGL, D&O, property and E&O policies. He earned his law degree from the University of Toronto in 1992 and was called to the bar in 1994. John belongs to the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Toronto Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute and Canadian Defence Lawyers.
