About Douglas

Douglas Treilhard practises civil litigation, with matters spanning personal injury defence, class actions, professional liability, and insurance law, and has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario. He joined Stieber Berlach after several years practising in Ottawa and Thunder Bay, having articled as a judicial law clerk at the Superior Court of Justice in Toronto. His litigation work has included defending real estate appraisers against a proposed class action, arguing jury-trial rights in a personal injury claim, and handling accident-benefits and occupiers'-liability disputes. He earned a B.A. (Hons.) in 2010 and a J.D. in 2013 from Queen's University, where he was an editor of the Queen's Law Journal and a caseworker with Queen's Legal Aid, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2014.
