About Alex

Alex Valova is a lawyer with experience in complex construction disputes across Canada and the United States. She spent several years working in-house for a large North American construction company, handling major disputes and contract negotiations, and later served as lead counsel for construction litigation on a major transit infrastructure project for an Ontario government agency. Her practice also covers professional negligence and commercial disputes, and she has represented clients in mediations, referees, and combined dispute boards as well as at all levels of court in Ontario. Alex holds an LLM in Business Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, an LLB from the University of Birmingham in the UK, and a B.A. (Hons.) from Brock University, and she was called to the bar in 2013.
