About Desmond
Desmond co-leads Osler's capital markets practice and is recognized as one of Canada's leading lawyers for IPOs and equity financings. He has led numerous public offerings and private placements for companies in sectors ranging from mining and healthcare to real estate and technology, and advises investment banks on trading and regulatory questions. He previously served as corporate secretary for a company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Desmond studied geological sciences at Queen's University before earning his law degree at McGill University, and became a partner at Osler in 2005.
