About Kristin

Kristin Rongve grew up in Yellowknife and Saskatchewan before earning both her undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Saskatchewan. She articled in the Fraser Valley after moving to BC, then settled permanently in Nanaimo in 1995. Her practice focuses mainly on family law, along with other civil matters, and she describes her approach as practical and focused on cost-effective resolutions. She has been active in the legal community as a member of the Canadian Bar Association, BC Branch, chair of the Nanaimo City Bar Association's family law section, and a director and board chair of the BC Continuing Legal Education Society. Kristin is also involved locally as a past board member of Haven: A Society for Women & Children and a longtime member of Nanaimo Daybreak Rotary, where she was named Rotarian of the Year in 2011.
